Roots Produce now sells meat!
Roots Produce just released some big news for the community! They now have beef. This local farmers market is known for serving locally grown produce depending on what is available for the season.
The beef they will be offering is from Dent Farms, known as D3 Beef. Dent Farms is a family-owned and operated beef cattle farm.
Beef production includes beef straight from the farm to your table. The cattle are Angus and Angus cross females and bred to produce quality hybrid offspring that grow and gain physical strength and good health, making outstanding replacement females, and great beef. The cattle are raised on native grass pastures and finished on grass and grain. The beef is all-natural and farm-raised with no antibiotics or hormones. Processed locally by a USDA-certified processor.
Roots Produce is 100% veteran-owned. The local farmers, market opened in April of 2020, right in the middle of the COVID pandemic. They sell fruit, vegetables, canned goods, and much more.
They are also a Georgia Grown business. Georgia Grown is an agribusiness of members that certified local producers to represent that state. Within the Georgia Grown business, everything is composed of local businesses. It also means that the market promotes responsibility for the environment and sustainability through its actions.
While Roots Produce bringing on beef is a huge deal, they also sell other items that aren’t technically produce. They have candles! The candles are Peach State Soy candles and of course, the business is local to Georgia.
If you would to check out this local farmers market, they are based in Evans, Georgia.

A Fun Day On The Farm – Dub’s Family Day At Steed’s Dairy In Grovetown
We went to Steed's Dairy over the weekend and had a great time. It's a tradition for our family every year. There are just certain things that you have to do in the Fall here in the CSRA, and a trip to Steed's is one of those things. My wife and I have been going since 2016. We've taken our family from Florida, and now we love taking our daughter.
The Whole Family Loves It
Like I said before, we've taken our family from Florida almost every year. Our nephews loved it! It was so cool because Maddie was able to experience it more this year. Last year we took her, but she was only about six weeks old, so she slept through most of it. This year she saw all of the animals and went in the corn box. She even went in the pumpkin patch.
Things To Do
There is a lot to do over at Steed's Dairy. Here is a list of some of the things they have.
There's a lot more too! Honestly, I would just say that you should go and check it out for yourself, if you haven't already. For more info, and a full list of everything they have over at Steed's, just click here.

Here are some of our pictures from our day there this past weekend.
Gotta Take A Picture When You Get There

There are plenty of places for family pictures at Steed's Dairy, so of course we took a few.
Maddie And The Horse

Maddie wasn't quite sure what to do with the horse at first. She did give him some pets eventually though.
We Found The G.O.A.T

Ok maybe not the Greatest Of All Time, but we did find the goat.
Maddie Was Pretty Excited To Meet The Donkey

Mommy took Maddie to meet Jack the Donkey. She seemed pretty excited about it.
The Corn Box

Our nephews loved the corn box last year. Maddie wasn't so sure about it. She wanted to eat the corn...Kelsey and I wouldn't let her, even though she did try to sneak some out.
The Cutest Pumpkin In The Patch

We had to let Maddie pick out a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch.
Another Family Photo

We took a picture at the same spot last year, and its so crazy to see how much Maddie has grown in a year.
Practicing Our Walking

Maddie is taking some steps now, so we figured the sand was a good place to practice walking.
