3 Doors Down Is On Dub’s Playlist This Week
We’re taking it back to the early 2000s this week with 3 Doors Down on Dub’s Playlist. I’ve been a fan of these guys for a long time. They came on the scene in when I was in middle school about to go into high school. Probably like a lot of people, the first song I heard by them was “Kryptonite”. By the way, that’s a song I’ll still sing along to no matter how many times I’ve heard it.
I got their CD “The Better Life” for Christmas that year, and I was hooked. Their sound was just so cool. Technically I guess you could say they’re a Southern rock band, I mean they are from Mississippi. Their second album is the one that I feel really took them to the next level. It was called “Away From The Sun” and it came it in 2002.
The song that I’m featuring on the playlist this week is one of the big songs off of that album. Actually, I would say this is one of their biggest hits ever.
Earlier this week it was announced that 3 Doors Down would be joining Creed on the “Summer Of ’99” Tour next year. Eighth grade me started going nuts. I’ve never seen either of those bands before, but it will happen, oh yes it will happen.
