With the fall weather here, people are certainly wanting their warm cup of coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries even more. Well, not one but two locally owned coffee shops have announced they will be opening another location.
Christie's Coffee Co.
Christie's Coffee is a coffee shop, technically a coffee drive-thru, located in North Augusta, South Carolina off of Edgefield Road. The business is run out of a tiny house that was shipped to North Augusta from Oklahoma. Christie’s Coffee Co is locally owned and operated by Joseph and Lisa Christie.
They are known for their locally roasted coffee and espresso drinks, as well as, non-coffee options too. Those options are hot Tea, hot Chocolate, matcha lattes, and more! The original coffee shop opened back in February of 2022.
Now they have announced their second location, which will be in Harlem, GA! Not many details have been released for this location, but it will have the same drive-thru concept as the original North Augusta location.
Rooted Coffeehouse
Another coffee shop in the CSRA has announced they will be opening their next location. This will be Rooted Coffeehouse’s third location throughout the area. Currently, both locations of Rooted Coffeehouse are located in Evans, Ga. This coffee shop was opened by a mother and daughter duo, Ali and Heather. Even with no background in business marketing, they decided to open Rooted here in GA to symbolize the new roots they are putting down in GA coming from Illinois.
Location 3 will offer a new ambiance, hours, and menu offerings. It will be a hybrid "Rooted" experience.
The new location is projected to open in January of 2024.
While this is their first location, another new coffee shop just held its grand opening on November 4. Trellis Coffee Bar, which is located in Downtown Augusta on Walton Way.
