Dub’s Kicks99 Guitar Pull Photo Album
Let's take a look back at my Kicks99 Guitar Pull photo album. Today is the big day. We've been waiting on it since late August. Countless days have been spent talking about the artists, and the songs, and all of the festivities that go along with the show. Well now the time has finally come! Happy Guitar Pull day y'all!
How Many Have I Been To?
This will be my 21st one. I only missed the first three in 1999, 2000 and 2001. However, since 2002, I've been fortunate enough to be at every single show. I've also been fortunate enough to have a ton of memories and stories from over the years. Also, I have a ton of pictures too! I mean how could I not, it's been 21 years after all.
Where Have They Been?
I've seen the show in three different venues. First there was The Bell Auditorium, then the USCA Convocation Center and finally the James Brown Arena. It is a little bitter sweet that tonight will be the last Guitar Pull in the current James Brown Arena. We've gotta send it out in style! Then we can start looking forward to what the show will look like in a brand new arena in a few years.
Who Have I Seen?
One of the coolest things I've been able to experience is watching several country artists become country superstars after playing Guitar Pull. Names like Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley and Eric Church all played the show when they were fairly new in their careers. Now they're some of the most well known names in country music.
This show is so special to me. I can't wait to be a part of another one tonight. In the meantime though, lets take a little walk down memory lane.
By the way if you want to check out one of my favorite videos from a past Guitar Pull, here's one from 2019 when we had Luke Bryan and Luke Combs. To check it out, click here.

Scotty's First Time

The 2023 Guitar Pull will be Scotty McCreery's third time playing the show. This was from his first time back in 2011.
Backstage With Brantley

This was in 2012. This is the only time Brantley Gilbert has played Guitar Pull.
Dan And Shay's First Guitar Pull

They were brand new on the scene in 2014 when they played Guitar Pull, but they definitely stole the show that year.
2015 With Thomas Rhett

2015 was a big year! We had Thomas Rhett and Sam Hunt on the same show. They were two of the biggest names in country music at the time, and they still are!
Cole's First Guitar Pull

Cole Swindell had been asking to play Guitar Pull for a while before this, so we had to put him on the show in 2016! This was his first of two Guitar Pull appearances.
Kane Brown's Only Guitar Pull...So Far

Kane Brown also played the 2016 Guitar Pull. This is the only time he's played the show, we've gotta change that!
Jake Owen's First Guitar Pull

We can't wait to have Jake Owen back on stage at Guitar Pull this year. This was from his first appearance on the show back in 2017.
Two Stars For The Price Of One!

Dustin Lynch and Chris Janson were both on the 2018 Guitar Pull, and they both killed it!
Justin Moore's First Guitar Pull

Justin Moore played his first, and only Guitar Pull...so far back in 2018
One Luke In 2019

2019 was one of our biggest shows ever! We had two Lukes on the same stage.
And The Other Luke In 2019

I mentioned we had two Lukes in 2019. Luke Combs and Luke Bryan! On.. The.. Same.. Stage! It was insane!
2022 Was A RD Party

Russell Dickerson just scored another #1 song, and last year he was on our Guitar Pull stage!
