What are the most annoying Christmas songs in the CSRA? We all have at least one. There's at least one Christmas song that you aren't particularly fond of. A song that if you never heard it again, your holiday season wouldn't miss a beat. I'll tell you what those songs are around the South, and what they are right here in Georgia and South Carolina.

FinanceBuzz recently did a survey, and found out what the most annoying Christmas songs in each state were. Some of these will surprise you I think. And on the other hand, some of these songs will make complete sense. Before we go any further, I'll tell you the Christmas song that annoys me the most, it's "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer". I can't stand that song! I hope it made the list.

The Songs That Annoy Us Here In The South

Let's take a look at the songs that our neighbors here in the South are most annoyed by.

  • Alabama -"Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree
  • North Carolina- "Jingle Bells"
  • Florida- "Feliz Navidad"
  • Tennessee- "Blue Christmas"
  • Mississippi- "Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane)"
  • Kentucky- "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree"
  • Louisiana- "Run Rudolph Run"

I'm kinda surprised that people aren't diggin' "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" here in the South. I love that song! What also shocks me is that an Elvis song is the most annoying song in the state of Tennessee. That just doesn't seem right at all! What also doesn't seem right is the fact that "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" wasn't on this list anywhere.

So, what are the songs that Georgia and South Carolina are most annoyed by? Well here in Georgia it's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. That was actually the most annoying song in ten different states. In South Carolina the most annoying song is "The Christmas Song". I guess y'all in South Carolina aren't liking your chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

Here Are Augusta’s Top Five Country Christmas Songs

People in the Augusta area love the classics when it comes to Christmas songs. This is the time of the year when we want family and friends around us, and usually, people have a  great memory associated with a song, especially a Christmas song. So we have your Top 5 Country Christmas Songs.

It's hard to pick just five because there are a lot of great Christmas songs, but these five are some of the most played every year all over America and the world.

The experts say holiday music can reduce your stress and make you feel happy at the same time. We all can associate a special memory with a Christmas song.

The memories can be simple. Mine would be when my mom owned a restaurant in my hometown, and I would help her out from time to time. We would close at two each day as it was a breakfast and lunch diner, but when the city had its Christmas parade, we would stay open later. I still remember being with my mom, watching the parade and waiting on customers as "Pretty Paper" by Willie Nelson was playing on the radio.

Everyone seems happy this time of the year, and it's one of my favorite holidays. On top of the music, it's always fun to see family from out of town and enjoy our family Christmas traditions. Merry Christmas! Here are the top 5 country Christmas songs!

#5 "Pretty Paper" Willie Nelson

#4 "O Holy Night" John Berry

#3 Hard Candy Christmas" Dolly Parton

#2 "Let It Be Christmas" Alan Jackson

#1 "Christmas In Dixie" Alabama
