New Cajun Style Restaurant Opens On Belair Road In Augusta
Belair Road is home to a new Cajun-style restaurant called Wicked Chic!
The restaurant is located inside the Exxon gas station next to Cookout. Wicked Chic was founded by Justanya Justice, who goes by Tia. It has been open for about two months.
Wicked Chic wasn’t always the name for the restaurant, she started as The Big Easy with another partner. As they continued on different paths, Tia knew she wanted to switch up the name a bit from The Big Easy. After speaking with her husband about name ideas, he gave her the name ” Wicked Chic”. Her first question to her husband was “Why!” and his exact response was that she did “wicked” things with food! And she agreed and that’s when the name stuck.
The décor around the restaurant takes you right to the south. There are pictures placed around of her great-grandma, her dad, her favorite uncle, and her grandmother who she learned to cook from.
Tia said that having these pictures around helps her to cook because these are the people who make this happen within her.
Let’s get into the Food!
The most popular item has been the “Wicked Wings.” The Wicked Wings are marinated in a “secret family seasoning” and then smoked and flash fried. For the final touch she puts a ” Voodoo dust” on it, which is like tangy dust on top. Tia’s favorite food on the menu is the greens.
The menu is pretty consistent but sometimes you might catch a special item or two.
Some of the menu items are:
- Wicked Wings
- Jive Turkey Wing
- Mac and Cheese
- Dirty Rice
- Not Yo Mama Greens
- Peach Cobbler

Darasha’s Review:
I was in the mood for some sides, so I didn’t get any meat items and I still don’t regret it – but I will be trying the wings soon.
The greens, mac and cheese, and fries were all really so good! I also got a chance to try the peach cobbler and it was absolutely amazing!
