Let's go back to the 90's with Hootie and The Blowfish this week on Dub's playlist. Coming up on April 9th we're celebrating 20 years of Rock Fore Dough. Rock Fore Dough is a Masters Week tradition. You know every Tuesday of Masters Week this show is happening, and you're going to want to be there. So let me take you back to the first Rock Fore Dough for a minute.

Taking It Back To The 2000s

The first Rock Fore Dough (RFD) took place at First Tee of Augusta in 2005. Back in the mid-2000s RFD was more of a rock show, then in the 2010s it transitioned to more of a country show. Rock bands like Hootie and The Blowfish, Sister Hazel, Collective Soul, The Goo Goo Dolls, NeedToBreathe, and Cheap Trick played early RFD shows.

As a 90s kid, I loved hearing all of those bands that I grew up listening to. However, it's been cool to welcome some of the biggest country artists to RFD as well. Names like Lady A, Darius Rucker, Sam Hunt, Scotty McCreery, Jordan Davis, Riley Green, and a bunch more.

But let's go back to 2005 and the first RFD for a minute. The song that I'm featuring this week is one of the biggest hits from Hootie and The Blowfish. It's a song that pretty much every one knows as soon as it starts. This song was on their first album "Cracked Rear View" which came out back in 1994. That album has become one of the best-selling albums of all time. It has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, and I can see why, it had some real bangers on it, including the song I've chosen for this week.

Here is one of the songs everyone was singing along to back in 2005 at that first show.

Since we're talking about Rock Fore Dough, let's look back at some of my favorite memories from the show.
