Plenty of gas pumps at this store.

The 1st Parker's Kitchen in North Augusta is open on Jefferson Davis Hwy, North Augusta, at 520. Parker's is opening new locations across the Augusta-Aiken area and has a new store in Aiken in the old Dick Smith Auto location.

In case you're unfamiliar with Parker's Kitchen, like me, here are some things that make them a little different.

Convenience Store Chain Of The Year

Parker's was named the 2020 Convenience Store Chain of the Year. They also give back to the community, with CEO Greg Parker having donating around $30 million to charitable causes across coastal Georgia and South Carolina.

They are also known for their food. This is not your average gas station food. This food has a southern flair to it. Think homemade biscuits made fresh every morning, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, sides like fried okra, mac and cheese, sweet tea, and more.

This location, just up from North Augusta Customs, has plenty of gas pumps up front and diesel pumps for the big trucks at the back of the store.

Parker's Kitchen

One thing I noticed when I pulled up was that the building has a coastal look, and inside, it is large and well laid out. You can smell the food when you arrive inside. They also have grab-and-go items like salads, wraps, sandwiches, fruit, a fresh bakery, and more. Also, like most stores now, they have a beer cave.

Parker's Kitchen is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Parker’s Kitchen has stores in Georgia and South Carolina and plans to double the number of stores in the next four years, including more here in the Augusta-Aiken area.

Also, if you're looking for a job, Parker's won an award from USA Today for one of the best places to work in the nation.

Exit 5, North Augusta

By the way, Parker's also has plans to build a store at Exit 5 in North Augusta.
