Plenty of seating and a TV close by wherever you are in this sports pub in Aiken.

Tucked away in a strip center near Publix and a few other shops, you'll see the big sign out front that says Grumpy's. A decent sports pub has to have a pretty decent burger. So, I thought I would check this place out and find out if this was the place for a great burger in Aiken.

Once inside, it looks like your typical sports bar with many TVs and a great selection of beer, as people are having a cold one, and many are enjoying a soccer game on TV. I've never gotten into soccer, as my main sport is college football; I'm only here for food, so I checked the menu for my next great burger.

Grumpy's seemed comfortable, with a bar, some tables and booths, and a long-high top communal table down the center with about 15 seats on each side where you can always meet new friends.

The burgers at Grumpy's are excellent!

The menu at Grumpy's offers plenty more than just burgers, like fish n chips, Rueben sandwiches, wings, and even hot dogs. I chose the 1/2 pound Angus beef burger with fries on a soft heart-baked roll, lettuce, onions, and pickle with fries.

This was a big burger, and it was delicious. It was cooked perfectly, and the fries were great, too. I couldn't finish it because it was a lot of food. I'll definitely be back and have the burger again.

They also have a great beer selection. I had a really good IPA, and they offer craft beers from Asheville, Athens, Charleston, and all over at Grumpy's—also, a full list of domestics.

Grumpy's Sports Pub is at 216 East Gate Drive in Aiken in Eastgate Shopping Center. They are open seven days a week, and they open each day at 11 am. They serve a great burger in Aiken.
