Timms Harley-Davidson Of Augusta Hosts First In-House Bike Night
Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta is the CSRA’s only Harley dealership, and they’ve been part of the community for over 60 years. Back in April 2024, Timms relocated from their location on Belair Frontage Road to a brand-new building on Mason McKnight Junior Parkway. And on Thursday, June 27th, they hosted their first in-house bike night, which will be the first of many.
Bike Night At Timms Harley-Davidson
The dealership announced its first in-house bike night last month, and the date was set for Thursday, June 27th. So last night was the night. They had food, vendors, music with DJ Ruckus, giveaways, and more.
The weather was a bit of a concern because, for the first time in days, we had a threat of rain. Thankfully, it didn’t hurt the turnout too much. My fiance mentioned taking the truck, but I said, “You can’t take a truck to bike night!” So we took the chance and hopped on the bike to check things out.
We got there closer to 6:30 p.m. and there were already quite a few people there, inside and outside. In the parking lot, they had some vendors set up and had the music going. They also had some cones in the parking lot that we’d later learn were for a demonstration from Moto Masters Advanced Motorcycle Training. They teach riders how to maneuver tight turns, work on their precision and control capabilities, and defensive strategies and techniques.

More Fun At Timms Harley-Davidson Of Augusta’s Bike Night
Of course, while we were at Bike Night, we had to check out the great selection of motorcycles. There are so many styles and colors to choose from. Personally, I think I’d have to opt for a trike… because I don’t know that I’d be too great at managing a regular motorcycle. But even the trikes look amazing.
They also had a great selection of helmets, riding gear, and Harley-Davidson branded merchandise too. I’ve already picked out quite a few new shirts and hoodies that I love.
While I was there, I finally had a chance to meet the owner, Rocky Timms. The dealership has been in his family since the beginning with his grandfather. Rocky took over around 2010. Despite having visited Timms many times over the 7-plus years that I’ve lived here, I’d never had a chance to meet Rocky. It was great to learn a bit more about the dealership, to hear about the process behind the new building, and to hear Rocky talk about his goals for his dealership, including having a great team to make sure everyone has great customer service every time.
If you haven’t checked out the brand-new, state-of-the-art building, you definitely should! They have such a beautiful new space filled with great bikes to choose from, along with all the parts, accessories, and apparel too!
