South Carolina

Charleston is one of the best cities in the world.

Some say this started around COVID-19 when people wanted to escape the big cities and found South Carolina the perfect relocation place. Now, more people are moving to South Carolina than any other state.

Rural areas, a low cost of living, and affordable houses are making this state more populated by the day. I guess everyone is discovering what we've known for a long time. South Carolina has some of the best beaches and beautiful mountains, too.

According to Bankrate, the median sales price of a home in South Carolina is 13.3% lower than the national average of $439,716. That is another selling point.

South Carolina Has A Lot To Offer

South Carolina has many beautiful small towns and some of the best cities in America, including Charleston and Greenville. It also has many big manufacturers, like Michelin and BMW. Charleston is also home to one of the most productive ports in the World.

Mild winters are another perk of living here. We occasionally get snow, but not very often. Many, like me, love the beaches in South Carolina in the fall and winter months. The crowds are smaller, and the rentals are less expensive than the summer season.

Tee has worked with KICKS 99 for over 24 years as Operations Manager and Program Director and is on-air each afternoon 3p-7p. When he’s not working, you’ll find him traveling the back roads, taking pictures, and searching for the next dive diner. Favorite place to visit? That’s easy. Folly Beach, SC. He’s usually there at least a few times a year. He lives in North Augusta and on Saturdays in the fall, you’ll find him cooking out and watching his Clemson Tigers. Tee likes to write about travel, Augusta local dive bars and diners and destinations in the Carolinas, as well as new business.
