One of North Augusta's most significant real estate developments is underway at Exit 1 and Martintown Road. The Hive is called the Gateway to North Augusta—where you can shop, live, and work.

Driving down Martintown Road reveals project progress, with dirt already being moved. When completed, it will have a little bit of everything. Think Hammond's Ferry on steroids.

North Augusta Keeps Growing

According to the McKnight Engler website, there will be two hotels, restaurants, and retail, with many businesses facing Martintown Road and even more within the development. There are rumors that Lowes Foods, which recently opened a store in nearby Aiken, may be included in the offerings.

It's not only commercial. Future plans include 1,637 single-family homes and townhomes, in addition to the 489,200 SF of commercial development.

Plans are also in the works for connectivity to the North Augusta Greeneway.
