Miranda Lambert: Why She Puts Up A Wall
Miranda Lambert appeared on The Tamron Hall Show yesterday. At the beginning of the show they showed some of her super fans, who told her how much they loved her. Miranda was watching on the sidelines and gave a big smile.
Tamron Hall started the interview by talking about songs that have touched people’s lives. Miranda responded, “It makes me so happy. It’s what I said out to do. It’s so important that I have a gift of writing songs.”
Hall then asked her about all the unreleased written songs that she has at home. Lambert said she and a friend organized them not long ago. She said, “I actually organized them all a couple years ago. I was like, ‘There is stuff everywhere.’ We made spreadsheets I don’t make spreadsheets I don’t know how to do that, but I have help.”
She added, “Just to keep everything cataloged ’cause you realize I’ve been writing songs since I was 17 there’s so much material there.”
The subject of her being shy and having a wall around her. She offered that she thinks it because of the way she grew up with her dad being a police officer and her parents being private investigators, she said she was just was taught to “look over my shoulder and be “authentically yourself,” and that no one can be “on all the time.”
Miranda also said that it does “take strength to be vulnerable,” and she’s always “honest on my records,” and she feels like “that’s what I signed up for day one.”

Lambert will treat fans to a live performance of new songs and fan favorites from her catalog of hits as she takes center stage on Saturday, October 5 at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville.
With the show kicking off at 7:30 p.m. local time, the woman known for being one of country music’s most beloved animal advocates has called on some of her favorite animal-loving friends and musicians to raise funds and visibility for shelter pets nationwide through her nonprofit, MuttNation Foundation.
Miranda said, “This is a very special event for me and I’m so honored that the artists I asked to join me, who are all such big animal lovers, agreed to help. What also makes it special is that there’s an open-to-the-public dog adoption event right before the concert – so if you’re thinking about adding a four-legged member to your family you need to be there from 4-6 p.m.”
She added, “And anyone who knows anything about me knows that helping shelter pets is what I use my voice for when I’m not singing, so you can bet I’ll be singing and talking all night long! Hope to see you there”
