On Friday (10/11), Tim McGraw released his new song, “People Like Us.” The track and its accompanying lyric video are available now on all streaming platforms.

The track features McGraw’s signature storytelling and celebrates the differences that connect us, highlighting the importance of coming together for the better. “People Like Us” is a song meant to remind fans that “we’re all in this together” and walk on a common ground.

McGraw posted to Instagram, "Today, I’m releasing a new song called “People Like Us.” It’s a celebration of our shared journey through life. We all have unique paths, but at our core, we’re connected by the same hopes, dreams, and challenges that make us human. For me, this song is about seeing ourselves in others - recognizing our common experiences of joy, pain, triumph, and struggle."

He continued, "My hope is that when you listen, you’ll feel that connection and be reminded of the beauty in our shared humanity. Music has a way of touching our hearts and bringing us together. Let’s keep lifting each other up and moving forward as one human family."

The song's chorus lyrics are: "People like us / We're a preacher with a dream / Put a man on the moon / We can do anything / Yeah people like us / We're all God's children / If we're willing we can be building a tomorrow we can trust / But it's up to people like us. I believe in / People like us."

Tim’s current single “One Bad Habit” recently reached the Top 10 in Mediabase/Country Aircheck, marking his 55th Top 10 as a lead artist, with 62 including collaborations.

McGraw has raised three well-adjusted, beautiful daughters with Faith Hill, and based on the social posts his girls sometimes share, Tim’s daughters have a great relationship with their dad. So, where did he learn his parenting skills, and how did he learn to be such a great dad?

He told us recently, "Oh my gosh, do you ever learn? I think there’s a constant learning curve. I figured out pretty early that if you can get about 30 % of it right, you’re doing pretty good. I had a great mom, you know, and my mom sort of gave me my moral compass and she was a big influence on me and how I grew up and the person that I am.

Tim concluded, "I got a lot of faults, but I try my best to just teach my girls to be strong and independent and think for themselves and have their own views and their own opinions and be convicted with ‘em."
