If ever I am in need of surgery, this is the level of bedside manner I need. I'm not sure I can settle for anything less now! There's a plastic surgeon in Florida who stars in a now viral video for singing to his patient before surgery.

In the video, Dr. Vinyard is captured singing Garth Brooks's hit "The Dance." Not only is it awesome that he does this for the patient, but of course, the song choice only makes this so much better for me as a Garth fan. To top it all off, Dr. Vinyard is actually a pretty good singer too. Check it out:

According to WhiskeyRiff, this isn't a one-time thing. Dr. Vinyard lets each patient pick a song prior to their surgery. This is such a unique thing, and I can only imagine it helps calm the patients ahead of their surgery. Imagine having a talented surgeon who can also sing like that!

Dr. Vinyard runs the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery in Port St. Lucie, Florida. I have a feeling he may wind up with a lot more patients now that the video has taken off. People in the comments definitely love to see this side of a surgeon, with comments like:

"Need more doctors like this to calm nerves."

"That is the most beautiful thing ever. That's a person that truly cares."

"I suddenly need surgery."

"I'd love to be his nurse just to listen to him sing."

The Singing Surgeon's Specialty

Some didn't think it was the greatest song choice before going under the knife, but it's not the only interesting song that a patient has chosen. One patient chose "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis, and another chose Billy Currington's "People Are Crazy."

Looks like country songs are a specialty for the singing surgeon.
