Later this year, Delta will add nearly 40 new flights and boost service on 12 current routes for NFL games, including the first direct flights linking Atlanta to Berlin.
"From kickoff to the final down, we're making it easier than ever to get in on the action – with new, nonstop routes and extra capacity for key games in cities like Berlin, Detroit, Kansas City, Philadelphia and more," said Amy Martin, Vice President North America Network Planning, to Delta News Hub.
Two direct flights will run from Atlanta to Berlin on Nov. 5 and 6, just before the Falcons face the Colts. Return flights take off after the game on Nov. 10 and 11.
Set for Nov. 9 at 9:30 a.m. ET, the match will make history at Olympic Stadium. Built for the 1936 Summer Olympics, the venue will host its first NFL regular-season game.
Passengers can pick from various seating choices on both aircraft — a Boeing 767 and Airbus A330-300. Each seat comes with Delta Sync for in-flight entertainment, whether flying Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort, or Main cabin.
New flight paths will connect cities across the U.S. during major matchups. Key games include Detroit taking on Kansas City, New England battling New Orleans, and Detroit squaring off against Philadelphia. Twelve existing routes will switch to bigger planes to fit more fans.
As the official airline for the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings, Delta lets fans book these new flights straight from their website.
