The Piedmont Augusta Foundation's 25th Miracle Mile Walk aims to collect $350,000 for vital cancer screenings. The 3-mile walk will take place on Oct. 18 at Augusta Common.

Starting at 8 a.m., participants will wind through city blocks. Past events drew over 10,000 participants marching in honor of those fighting breast cancer.

Cancer survivors will lead the pack, sporting special shirts and pins to mark this key milestone. Net proceeds flow back to Augusta, funding screenings for women who can't afford one.

According to Augusta Good News, medical staff at the Randy W. Cooper, M.D., Center for Breast Health Services work alongside a mobile screening unit. Since 2021, they've completed more than 100,000 exams and detected 2,589 cases.

As the first nationally certified center of its kind in the area, Piedmont Augusta brings top-tier breast care to CSRA communities.

Registration is open for both solo walkers and groups. Sign up, donate, or track fundraising progress on the Miracle Mile Walk website.
