The 2025 CSRA Walk for Water happens on Saturday, Nov. 8, at SRP Park. It raises money and builds awareness about the worldwide water crisis. People from both sides of the Savannah River will join to support Water Mission's work, bringing safe water to communities in need.

Walkers will carry buckets of water along a 3-mile route. This mimics what millions do each day to collect water in developing nations. Gates open at 8 a.m., and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m. The event takes place rain or shine.

Every $50 raised gives one person clean water for an entire year.

"Each step we take helps transform lives," said Jeff Kertscher, CSRA Walk for Water spokesperson, according to Augusta Good News. "When our community comes together to walk for water, we're not only raising funds — we're walking in solidarity with the millions of people who make this journey every day."

Water Mission started in 2001. Since then, this Christian engineering nonprofit has brought clean water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions to over 8 million people. They work in developing countries and disaster zones across the globe.

The group has reached more than 60 countries. Charity Navigator gave Water Mission its top four-star rating for 19 straight years.

Anyone can join. Individuals, families, schools, churches, and companies are all welcome. Registration can be done on the CSRA Walk for Water website.
