The Entertainer of the Year award is the ACM's top award, and the 2022 nominees for this award are no strangers to winning ACMs.

Eric Church has won three ACM awards total: including in 2015 for Video of the Year for "Mr. Misunderstood," and in 2012 Album of the Year for Chief.

Luke Combs won four ACM awards including in 2019 for Top Male Vocalist and Album of the Year for What You See Is What You Get.

Miranda Lambert has never won the Entertainer award but has won the most ACM awards than any other nominee including winning Top Female Vocalist nine times in a row from 2009 to 2017.

Chris Stapleton has been a big ACM winner over the years including winning Top Male Vocalist in 2015 and 2017. He has yet to win the ACM's Entertainer award.

Carrie Underwood has won the ACM's Entertainer of the Year award in 2008, 2009, and 2019, when she tied for the honor with Thomas Rhett.

The show will air live on Amazon Prime on March 7, 2022. It will be hosted by Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen, and Gabby Barrett.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
