Y'all have got to see Maddie's Halloween 2023 pictures. Technically, this was her second Halloween, but this year she was able to celebrate a little more. Last year she was only about 6 weeks old. This year she's a little over 13 months old. She was definitely in the spirit... at least for a little while.
Did Maddie Trick Or Treat?
We had the conversation on the show a few weeks ago about if we should take Maddie trick or treating or not. Most people said it was totally ok to take her around. My wife and I decided to wait one more year. Maddie has been transitioning as far as sleep goes. She's really only taking one nap during the day now, and it's usually not very long. So by the time we hit evening time, she's kind of a roller coaster as far as if she's happy or cranky. We're also getting more teeth popping through, so she's been a little fussy with that going on as well.
Kelsey and I just thought it would be better if she hung with us at home and helped pass out candy. Now don't get me wrong, next year, as far as trick or treating goes, it's game on! Maddie was a good sport for a while. She hung in there with us for maybe about an hour. As long as Kelsey was holding her, and she had some of her snacks, she was good.
Maddie loved looking at all of the kids dressed up in their costumes. She kept saying "ohhhh" when a big group would come by. And of course, she got a lot of compliments on her ladybug costume. Next year will be here before we know it, and I can't wait to walk around with Maddie while she goes trick or treating.

Just The Cutest Little Ladybug
DubMaddie was very distracted by the kids in their costumes last night, so getting good pictures of her was a little difficult. As you can see, we got a few.
