Another year has come and gone! I can't believe how quickly time flies. Sunday (November 12) was my 36th birthday. But the whole birthday weekend was special.
Saturday
Saturday started with finishing up our Kicks 99 Guitar Pull ticket stops at Honda Cars of Aiken. It was a rainy, cold Saturday morning, but we still had a great time. And we even got to give away a pair of front-row tickets to the show! Don't forget, if you've won tickets, you need to pick them up ASAP, since the show is tomorrow! Get info HERE.
After the stop, I had to run to CVS and pick up a few things, then it was back home. While I'd been gone, David had gone birthday shopping! And he has a hard time waiting to give gifts... so I got to open them on Saturday.
If you listened to the show last week, you might have heard about my wardrobe malfunction at the gym. Well, David went and got me a bunch of new workout clothes, so hopefully I won't be splitting another pair of leggings any time soon! He got me some new leggings, two new pairs of shorts, some new tank tops, and a nice athletic jacket.
Birthday Weekend Celebration Continues
My friend (and co-worker) Crystal and I had talked about getting together to do dinner on Saturday. But since we're both Georgia Bulldogs fans, we were trying to coordinate the best place to go. We finally decided to just pick up some wings and go to her house for the game. She also made some meatballs, macaroni and cheese, and her husband grilled some shrimp too.
And she even got me a cake! I was so surprised! It seems like it's been a while since I've had an actual birthday cake (with my name on it). It was so sweet! Between spending time with great friends, getting love from their pups, and having everyone (inlcuding her three precious boys) sing me 'Happy Birthday', it was definitely a great time!
My Actual Birthday
Since we stay up "late" (for me) watching the game on Saturday, Sunday morning the plan was to sleep in. But, with two dogs who love routine, it's not always easy to sleep in. I did manage to get a bit of sleep though. Then it was time to get up and get the pups their walk. After that, I got ready to head out for a bit.
Our first stop was Nine Line Apparel in Grovetown. The girls there were so sweet and made a special coffee drink for my birthday, and topped it with sprinkles. After that, we went to do some shopping. We made a few stops, but I didn't find anything that I couldn't live without.
Up next was lunch. And yes, I would've been more than happy to get Mexican for lunch. But we always do that. So I was trying to think of somewhere we hadn't been before, or at least somewhere we hadn't been in a while. And that's when I decided on World Of Beer. We'd only been there once, but I really wanted some of those macaroni and cheese bites!
And the meal definitely hit the spot. I had a delicious Patron margarita, macaroni and cheese bites, and a bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was all so good.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We had to do our usual grocery shopping and meal prepping for the week. Then we just relaxed the rest of the day and went to bed pretty early. I am definitely trying to rest up ahead of Guitar Pull!
