The Kicks Wake Up Krew

We had the chance to hang with Thomas Rhett before his headlining show at the James Brown Arena back in 2018.

I wanted to share some of my memories with Thomas Rhett. Today is Thomas Rhett’s birthday, so I figured it was the perfect time. I’ve been a TR fan since he released his first album back in 2013. That album stayed in my truck for a long time! The first time I saw Thomas Rhett live was in Athens GA. He was opening for Jason Aldean.

I’d never met Thomas Rhett until 2015. We announced that he was coming to Guitar Pull that year. It was going to be Thomas Rhett and Sam Hunt headlining that year. That was a huge show! In 2015, I got to go to the CMA Awards for that first time. That was an amazing experience, I couldn’t believe I was actually there.

At the CMAs that year, I got to meet and interview Thomas Rhett. We talked about his love for James Brown and Guitar Pull that year. Heres the video of that interview.

TR is just a very nice, very humble person. I love the way he carries and presents himself. The way he loves his wife and his kids. He really is a role model for men out there. If you ever have the chance to see Thomas Rhett live, don’t pass it up. He puts on a killer show! Happy birthday to Thomas Rhett!
