Butch was such a handsome man, Kelsey always called him a model
One of the best things in life is being a dog parent, but one of the hardest things in life is when you have to say goodbye to a good dog. Recently my wife Kelsey and I had to say goodbye to our dog Butch. He was 14 and was having problems with bad arthritis and kidney failure. We knew that we were making the right decision to let him go, but it was one of the hardest decisions ever. Kelsey had Butch since she was 16, and he lived with her parents in Florida until came to live with us in 2019 so I became his adopted dad and from the beginning he became so attached to me. Every day when I got home he was so excited to see me, even as hard as it was for him to move toward the end he was still excited to see me every day, that's something that I'm always going to miss. Every night wherever I was in the house watching TV, Butch was right beside me. Butch slept in our bed right between Kelsey and me every night. Those were the hardest things to get used to, and honestly it still feels weird now not having him there next to me watching tv or in between us at bed time. We're still sad, but we have so many happy memories with him and I'd like to share some of our favorite pics of Butch with you. Go hug your fur babies one time for us.

Kelsey always called Butch a model, you can see why with this picture.

He wasn't the best man at our wedding, but he was definitely the best dog!
