The best homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte that’s half the price and half the sugar too. A healthier and cheaper PSL? I had to make it and let you know if it’s worth it or not.

I used this recipe and had most of the ingredients at home. All except the ‘pie pumpkin’ and the whole milk. You can definitely substitute the whole milk with a plant based alternative and it shouldn’t affect the taste or richness of the drink.

This was definitely a little bit of a labor of love with preparing the pumpkin, puréeing the pumpkin, and then warming all of the ingredients in the pot. But, the good news is, you have fresh pumpkin purée to make more than one cup as the purée keeps well in the fridge for up to 7 days. Or feel free to use the purée for a different recipe.

I really enjoyed the flavor of this because it’s not overpowering pumpkin flavor and not too sweet. I will definitely be making it again for those reasons alone and only ordering a PSL here and there from now on. I hope you try it and love it too!

Remove skin and get ready to purée pumpkin

Combine ingredients in a medium pot
