You see Luke Bryan shaking it on stage, it took a long time to get there.  Before They Hit It Big, they worked some pretty crappy jobs!  From selling cars to working on farms and everything you can think of between they did it all.  This doesn’t include the time they spent playing music.  The up-and-coming artists will play anywhere to get someone to hear their music.  Sometimes play to as little as 2 or 3 people.

What Did They Do Before

  • Luke Bryan-His first job was at Rubo’s in Leesburg, Ga. He worked during the summer on Monday and Tuesday.   stocked and cleaned up the produce.
  • This Country Star helped out at his father’s commercial electric business in his hometown of Sumter, S.C.  This was Lee Brice
  • Garth was a bouncer at a bar in Oklahoma
  • How about Kelly Clarkson?  She worked at Papa John’s, was a telemarketer, and even sold vacuums to make money to pursue her dreams.
  • Dierks Bentley may have had one of the grossest pre-famous jobs at a point in his life. Before fame, Dierks held a job that involved draining the waste from houseboats that had been at sea for a day, a week, or even longer. Needless to say, he’s probably better off selling out venues.
  •  Reba was working on her father’s farm, helping him turn bulls into steers. She was a real cowgirl
  • Fed Ex was Kane Browns Job
  • Our very own Ray Fulcher sold cars, he even wrote a song about his time selling.

So the next time you see Dierks Bentley on stage, know that he cleaned a lot of crap before getting famous.  So instead of seeing them do the jobs they had before fame.  Let us look at the work they are doing now.

  • Luke Bryan

  • Lee Brice

  • Kelly Clarkson

  • Reba

  • Ray Fulcher
