There's absolutely no denying just how addictive TikTok can be. If you're like me, you find yourself scrolling for way too long.  And if I'm being honest, I get sucked into a lot of "trends" because... well, the algorithm! It gets me every time.  I watch one video about a product or hack, and suddenly, I'm getting a ton of videos about the same thing. Also, there's no doubt that TikTok is great for products and brands. So what are the best beauty trends this year, according to TikTok?

Well, HuffPost decided to dig in and take a look at the best beauty trends and moments from this year.  And it's amazing to see how things have changed.  Now anyone with a camera can influence millions!

HuffPost's list has 13 best beauty trends this year. But I'm going to share the top five that I might actually be willing to give a try.  Baby bangs and lip flips are a big NO from me!

So here we go:

Cream Balm Makeup

Forget powder... now it's all about cream! The cream balm can be used on eyes, lips, and cheeks. It looks easy enough to use too.  And it's no greasy looking either.  This one is something I'd definitely try!

Heatless Curls

This was a big one I've seen so many times this year! While I'm totally open to trying heatless curls, I still can't quite understand the way people wrap their hair with those leggings!

Skin Cycling

Apparently this isn't a new concept... but it got a lot of traction this year on TikTok. It's done to prevent stress on the skin from active ingredients. Dr. Whitney Bowe gives a great breakdown of how to start skin cycling, and the why!

Clean Girl Makeup

This is a "minimalist approach to beauty." It's about healthy, glowing skin with little makeup!  This is something I definitely would love to try.  I've always felt a little self conscious about my skin due to acne/acne scars and just uneven skin.  I'd love to embrace less makeup, and still feel like I look good!

This trend led to Covergirl Clean Fresh Skin Milk going viral on TikTok.

Slugging

I'm not sure how I feel about this one... I'd be afraid it would cause more breakouts for me.  But this trend is about skin barrier health.
