Carly Pearce on the Surprising Reason She Got Out of a Speeding Ticket

Carly Pearce got out of a speeding ticket when she was 17 years old, and the reason couldn't be more country. Her personalized license plate said B-grass ... and the cop loved that a young girl liked bluegrass music.

She told CMT, quote, "When I was 17 years old I was going to get my grandpa dinner, and I was driving a red Ford Ranger truck.  That was my first car.  I'm from Kentucky, I love bluegrass music, and my license plate was B-grass. "And this cop couldn't believe that a young girl liked bluegrass music, so I got out of that ticket."

Kelsea Ballerini performed at the 2022 ACM Honors last night in Nashville. It was taped and won't be airing until September 13th on Fox. But when it does, you might recognize what Kelsea's wearing on the red carpet.
