There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 p.m. through 7 a.m. Saturday. Mixed precipitation expected. Snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.

- Georgia- McDuffie, Columbia, Richmond and Burke
Plan on slippery road conditions. Hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute, into the early morning on Saturday.
If you are on the roadways- USE CAUTION. Slow down while traveling.
Update: 8:00 a.m. 1/21/2022
Chances of rain, mostly after 2 p.m. Cloudy throughout the day with highs near 40. Winds around 10 mph. A 50% chance of precipitation. Tonight, rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet is likely before 1 a.m. A chance of freezing rain between 1 and 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy with lows dipping to the upper 20s. A 60% chance of precipitation. Little or no ice accumulation is expected. Saturday, we will see mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 40s.
Update: 1:00 p.m. 1/20/2022
Currently, we have an 80% chance of rain this afternoon with a high of 56. Rain likely throughout the night, with lows around 34. A rain/snow mix possible tomorrow (Friday) morning with a high of 36. The lows will drop into the mid-20’s overnight Friday with a small chance of a wintery mix with sleet possible. Precipitation expected to clear out on Saturday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 40’s.
A winter weather advisory is currently in place for parts of the Midlands and Pee Dee in South Carolina starting early Friday morning through Friday night. Biggest threat is freezing rain.
The National Weather Service shows there is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.
