Spooky season is here so my daughter and I decided to celebrate with a Halloween charcuterie board. I love making charcuterie boards for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Such a fun way to snack before the big holiday meals. But you really don’t have to wait for a holiday to make a charcuterie board. Heck, you can even make them for your pets! Like this one here .
Here are some other cool ‘charbooterie’ boards to give you some ideas
And if you want to make one like we did to celebrate ‘spooky season,’ here’s how we made it:
Start with a charcuterie board of your choice
You can use an actual charcuterie board like this one or you can even use parchment paper on a cookie sheet or parchment paper on the table itself.
Add cookies or brownies
We found these at Target.
Add board ‘fillers’
The goal is to take up as much space as possible in the board. And a good way to do that is with small snacks like these cheese puffs.

And these ‘bats and jacks’ shaped pretzels

And these mini brownies

And it should start to look something like this

Decorate Rice Krispies treats
We used this cookie icing from Target

On packaged Rice Krispies treats

And then decorated them with these sprinkles

Add caramel apples
I cut up Granny Smith apples and used this caramel sauce from Target
I dipped the apples in caramel and put them in these cute cupcake liners that came with the bats and skeletons for decoration.
I also added some sprinkles for color

Add a kid drinking apple cider from a cauldron mug

And enjoy your spooky snacks!
