I know, most people think about the beach in spring and summer, or Florida in the winter, but I love going to the beach in the fall. You can find a hotel or VRBO cheaper than in the peak months, plus you avoid the big crowds. It's Fall! Let's Go To The Beach!!
I love taking a day or two and relaxing at the beach in the fall and even winter. Put on a hoodie and bundle up for a walk on the beach, or just explore. It's actually so much more peaceful.
If you want warm, you can travel to Florida's Gulf Coast. I lived in ST Pete for a few years and the weather stays great for the most part year-round, although prices can go up in the winter as lots of people want to escape the snow and cold up north and make their way to the Sunshine State.
If you can’t stand the heat…visit Myrtle Beach in the fall! While a majority of Myrtle Beach visitors book their hotels from May to August, many other vacationers wait out the summer and book their hotel during the “off-season.” Most people who are not locals may be unaware that Myrtle Beach is still alive during autumn, and those who visit during the fall season will be greeted with better prices, shorter lines, and a lot less chaos.
You may not be able to lay out and soak in the sun, but you'll be able to beat the crowds and explore areas you haven't seen in the past. I actually have a friend in Greenville, SC, and every year, his family celebrates Thanksgiving at Myrtle Beach.
So check out Folly, Myrtle, or other coastal areas in South Carolina or Georgia. You might even find the ultimate dive bar!
