“New Year’s Eve Live” Is Returning to Nashville this Year

CBS is bringing back "New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash". The first announced performers are Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks & Dunn, and Zac Brown Band . . . and there WILL be more.

If you want to get discovered in Nashville, start writing songs NOW. That's the advice from Tyler Hubbard, who knows a thing or two. He has a hefty list of songwriting credits for Florida Georgia Line and other artists.

And now he's gone viral on TikTok with a video called "Tyler's Top Five Beginner Songwriting Tips." Here they are . . .

1. "When writing with others, be on time and try to bring at least one idea to the room."

2. "Treat it like a 9 to 5 . . . make time and space for it."

3. "Don't be afraid to get a little vulnerable, but do it because it's fun. It should be fun."

4. "Keep a phone note of phrases, ideas, words [because] you never know when inspiration comes."

5. "Just start. Really, like right now."

Ashley Judd wrote an essay for the "New York Times" about why it's so important for families . . . even famous families . . . to be able to maintain privacy in the wake of a death.  Of course, in her case she's talking about the tragic passing of her mother Naomi, who committed suicide in April.  (People)
