It’s NFL Wildcard Weekend, and I’ve got my picks for the week ready to go. This is the first round of the playoffs. We’re on the road to Super Bowl…

It's NFL Wildcard Weekend, and I've got my picks for the week ready to go. This is the first round of the playoffs. We're on the road to Super Bowl 57, which will be held February 11th in Las Vegas. There are no more second chances. Now it's win or go home. I've been on kind of a hot streak lately with my picks, lets see if I can keep it up.

The Hot Streak

The last few weeks I've gone 5-1 with my picks. Unfortunately, I haven't had a week this year where I've gotten all of the games right. My current record for the 2023-2024 season is 64 correct picks and 32 incorrect picks. There are only a few more weeks to rack up some more correct picks. I'd love to get 80 correct picks for the season.

Anything can happen in the playoffs. A one seed could dominate, as everyone expected them to do, or a wild card could shock the world! That's what I love about any kind of playoff situation. There are six games this weekend. Two on Saturday, also three on Sunday and then one on Monday. I'll go ahead and make my pick for the first game on Saturday now.

The Cleveland Browns @ The Houston Texans

This game is set for Saturday afternoon at 4:30 on NBC and Cleveland is favored by 2. The Browns are 11-6 and The Texans are 10-7. NFL veteran Joe Flacco has really given The Browns the jumpstart they've needed for a long time and I've got to with the hot hand. I'll take The Browns by a field goal.

Here are the rest of my picks for the weekend.

The Miami Dolphins @ The Kansas City Chiefs

This game is set for Saturday night at 8pm and will stream on Peacock. The Chiefs are favored by 5. The Chiefs always seem to shine in the playoffs. They rested a lot of their starters last weekend, so in theory everyone should be healthy and ready to go. One big factor this weekend will be the weather. It's supposed to be freezing, and I feel like Kansas City is more prepared for that than Miami. I think this will be a great game, but I think The Chiefs pull it out at home. Gimme Kansas City by 4.

Dub's Official Pick- The Kansas City Chiefs

The Pittsburgh Steelers @ The Buffalo Bills

This game is set for Sunday afternoon at 1pm on CBS and Buffalo is favored by 10. The Bills have been on a hot streak the last few weeks, and I don't see that ending this week, especially with them playing at home. I'll take The Bills by 7.

Dub's Official Pick- The Buffalo Bills

The Green Bay Packers @ The Dallas Cowboys

This game is set for Sunday afternoon at 4:30 on FOX and Dallas is favored by 7. While they have had a bit of a rocky past few weeks, I think The Cowboys will get it together this week. Past this week? I don't know. But I see them winning at home. I'll take Dallas by 7.

Dub's Official Pick- The Dallas Cowboys

The LA Rams @ The Detroit Lions

This game is set for Sunday night at 8pm on NBC and Detroit is favored by 3. There are a lot of storylines in this game. Matthew Stafford, who used to play in Detroit is going back to play against Jared Goff, who used to play in LA. I think Detroit will go a little deeper into the playoffs. I don't see them losing in the wildcard round. I'll take The Lions by less than a touchdown.

Dub's Official Pick- The Detroit Lions

The Philadelphia Eagles @ The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This game is set for Monday night at 8:15 on ABC and ESPN and Philly is favored by 3. The Eagles are another team that has had a bit of a rocky road the last few weeks. I'm going to go out on a limb on this one. I think it'll be a close game, but I think The Bucs could pull out an upset at home. So I'm taking Tampa by less than a field goal.
