What is the best Batman movie? Thats the question we asked this week with The Friday Five. It was on this date back in 1989 that “Batman” starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson hit theaters. So thats what inspired this week’s top five list. Just like every week, y’all help us compile this list with your phone calls and Facebook comments.

Earlier this week, I made a list of the best actors who have played Batman over the years. If you missed that list, you can catch it here.

As I stated in that story, I’ve been a huge Batman fan ever since I was a kid. I had all of the toys, and I’ve seen all of the movies. So as a Batman super fan, I feel like I can agree with the results of this list. Honestly, there were a few movies that I’m surprised didn’t make the list. But the top movie on the list got the most votes by a lot. It wasn’t even close.

The Batman franchise has been rebooted several times over the years. Some of the reboots have been more successful than others. However, its definitely given us plenty of movies to choose from for this list. If you want to see all of the comments that we got this morning, just click here.

Here’s this week’s Friday Five- The Best Batman Movies.

  • "Batman"

This is the first Batman movie I ever saw back in 1989. It will always be favorite, and it got the most votes by a landslide! Michael Keaton will always be the best Batman, and Jack Nicholson as The Joker is just awesome!

  • "The Dark Knight"

While Christian Bale did a good job as Batman in “The Dark Knight”, it was Heath Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker that made this movie so good, at least in my opinion.

  • "The Dark Knight Rises"

This was the final Christopher Nolan directed movie in the Batman franchise, and while a lot of people didn’t think it lived up to the hype of “The Dark Knight”, I thought it was really good.

  • "Batman Forever"

I really loved this movie when I was a kid. It wasn’t the best Batman movie ever, but Jim Carrey’s portrayal of The Riddler really made the movie for me.

  • The Lego Batman Movie

This is the only Batman movie that I haven’t seen. But I think I need to watch it, because I’ve heard good things about it. Everyone who saw it when it came out said it was really good.
