I took another road trip this past Saturday and ended up in Port Royal, SC, a small town near Beaufort. I discovered the friendliest town in South Carolina.

It could have been because it was Saturday and the weather was great, but everyone was so nice everywhere I went while there. It really was a perfect day, and Port Royal is beautiful, with walking trails and a cool downtown. Also, I stopped at a farmers market on my way out of town.

While there, I talked to a park ranger in front of a small church. He was very knowledgeable and, yes, friendly too. Shout out to Richard Condon! Here's more info on the church.

Enjoy the pics, and I'll have another road trip adventure soon! Let me know if you can think of cool places less than three hours away from Augusta. Would love to hear about them! Just email me here.

Here is another of my low-country favorites.
