These are the weirdest town names in Georgia. They sound like they're made up, however, they are 100% real. If you've done any traveling, odds are you've been through some small towns. Towns so small you blink and you miss them. These towns don't even have a Walmart, and won't have one anytime soon.

According to WRBL, these are the weirdest town names in Georgia. I've looked over this list and I've never heard of any of these places. I've lived here in Georgia my entire life. I feel like I've seen a good majority of this great state, but none of these places.

There are a lot of big cities in Georgia, and a lot of historical cities as well. Places pretty much everyone has heard of like Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, and Macon. However, I'd be willing to bet good money that y'all have never heard of any of these towns. Also, I'll bet you've probably never met anyone from any of these towns as well.

Georgia isn't the only state with weird town names though. Have y'all ever heard of any of these? Lick Skillet, Alabama, or Treasure Island, Florida? What about Soso, Mississippi, or Lizard Lick, North Carolina? How about Pumpkintown, South Carolina? Ever been there? Do you know anyone from there? I didn't think so.

These town names sound made up, but they're all totally real!

Between, Georgia

It's located in Walton County and according to the last census in 2020, 402 people live there. Honestly, that's 400 more than I was expecting.

Tiger, Georgia

Named after Tiger Woods maybe? Probably not, but that's what I want to believe. This town is in Rabun County and has a population of 422. Wonder if 20 people moved from Between over to Tiger?

Gumlog, Georgia

Apparently Gumlog Road is the only way in and out of this community located in Franklin County. Surprisingly, 2,358 people live there. How many is that? That's almost a sold out show at the Bell Auditorium.

Blitch, Georgia

I feel you've got to be real careful when you say the name of this town. It's located in Bulloch County and was named after a postmaster in the 1900s named W.H. Blitch. They don't know what the population is. I'm going to guess not very many.

Talking Rock, Georgia

This town is located in Pickens County and has a population of only 91 people. However, apparently there is a Talking Rock Heritage Days festival. Y'all wanna take a road trip?
