I think you will be hard-pressed to find one person out of 100 people that doesn’t like Oreo cookies.  I have found a bunch of Oreo Cookies I Must Have. The first Oreo cookie was introduced by Nabisco on March 6, 1912.  By my math, that means we’ve been enjoying the Oreo goodness for over 111 years. Thank you Nabisco.

While you can’t beat a good old basic Oreo cookie, the addition of the double stuff and the most stuff Oreos were game changers for most of us.

The Are The Must Have Oreo

Are The Rumors True?

Now over the years, it has been rumored that Oreo has made some out there flavors and I’m not sure we’ve seen them, but here are a few:

  • Waffles and Syrup
  • Cherry Cola
  • Pina Colada
  • Kettle Corn
  • Root Beer Float
  • Blueberry Pie
  • Key Lime Pie

Now I’ve seen alot of flavors in the stores but these, I think they may be just rumors.

Let’s ask the question of what makes Oreos so dang good.  We are drown to the flavors of, Thin Mint, Double Stuffed, The Most Stuffed, The Vanilla, but what is the base of an all Oreo cookies?

These Are The Ingredients That Make Oreo Cookies

  1. Sugar
  2. Unbleached enriched flour
  3. High oleic canola oil or palm oil
  4. Cocoa (treated with alkali)
  5. High-fructose corn syrup
  6. Leavening agent (baking soda or monocalcium phosphate)
  7. Corn starch
  8. Salt
  9. Soy lecithin
  10. Vanillin
  11. Chocolate

Then ya add in the other flavors that give it the taste or flavor. Now, how healthy are Oreo Cookies?  Glad you asked, because I really doubt that your Doctor is going to say, eat Oreo cookies and eat a lot of them

For a six-pack of Oreos, it contains 270 calories, meaning there are 45 calories in one cookie. Of these 45 calories, 27 come from carbohydrates, 16.5 come from fat, and 1.5 calories are provided by protein.

The different Oreo flavors do have varying amounts of carbohydrate: For example, the chocolate fudge Oreo contains 13 g of total carbohydrates (4% of the recommended daily intake) and 9 g of sugars per serving of 3 cookies, while mint Oreos contain 25 g of total carbohydrates and 18 g of sugars per serving. Oreos contain small amounts of proteins and minerals (iron and sodium are present) but they do not contain any vitamins.
