Weird Things Kids In The CSRA Are Obsessed With

Check out some of the weird things that some kids in the CSRA are obsessed with. Most kids get obsessed with something at some point or another in their lives. For me, when I was like two, I got obsessed with wrestling. I was a huge wrestling fan growing up. Yeah, I still keep up with it, but I'm not obsessed like I used to be.

Right now our daughter is 16 months old, and she's obsessed with something, belly buttons. I'm not sure where the obsession came from, but she loves belly buttons right now. It started when she just started staring at her own belly button. Then she wanted to check out my wife's belly button. After that, she moved over and wanted to see what my belly button situation was.

It's hilarious right now, but I kinda hope she grows out of it. It's going to be a little weird if she's in middle school and still wants to look at everyone's belly button. However, this story got me thinking. What are some weird things that other kids here in Georgia and South Carolina are obsessed with? I had a feeling we'd get some good stories, and we did.

Kids just get fixated on things, it's totally normal. And as parents, it's our job to share these stories with other parents and laugh about these weird things. It is also our job as parents to remind our kids of these weird obsessions when they get older. We got a little bit of everything when we asked about weird things your kid is obsessed with. Yes, more than one kid here in the CSRA is obsessed with lawyer Mike Hostilo's commercials. In fact, one parent told us her son will stop whatever he's doing when a Mike Hostilo commercial comes on.

Teri said that her son had to know every little detail about George Washington's entire life. She said this happened before Google, which might be a good thing.

Stephanie said her nephew was obsessed with vacuum cleaners when he was younger. Stephanie wasn't the only one though, several other parents shared their kids' obsession with vacuum cleaners. Hopefully, that means they'll have clean houses when they grow up.

Jessica said that her son is like a bloodhound, he can walk into any room anywhere and sniff out where the remote is.

Megan told us her oldest son is obsessed with chickens. So much so that he even had a photo shoot done with his chickens. I can't wait for her to show him those pictures when he gets to be a teenager.

Rebecca said that her son would bend them back and laugh himself to death when they made that boing sound. I can feel her on this one, our daughter will sit in her room and just play with the doorstopper all of the time.

Lynn said her daughter always had to have two pencils. One to save, and one to use. Lynn also said that when her daughter was in first grade, if someone borrowed a pencil from her, they had to sign a contract!
