You’re not going to believe what some people in the CSRA have found in their Halloween bags. It’s not always candy that you get when you go trick or treating. Of course most people do give out candy, but some people go a more unconventional route. Maybe they don’t want to be the same as everyone else, or maybe they forgot to buy candy, now they’re scrambling last minute.
Either way, it makes for some pretty entertaining stories. We started talking about it this morning. I said that I’ll never forget when I was a kid, I got change one year in my trick or treat bag. Someone literally had a coffee can full of change, and they were giving out handfuls of change instead of candy.
We’ve also heard about people giving out toothbrushes or fruit on Halloween. C’mon, don’t do the kids dirty that way! Kids want candy on Halloween. That’s why its called trick or treat, not trick or fruit, or trick or toothbrush!
As usual, we got some really great stories from y’all. One called said he got Krystal burgers one year. Another lady said she got shoes. These are true stories, we’re not making these up. A potato
A lady told us that her kid got a potato last year. What are we supposed to do with that? put it in the microwave for 10 minutes and then cover it with butter and cheese?!
Ramen noodles
At least this is better than a potato. The kid agreed, his mom said he wanted to eat them as soon as they got home!
A miniature loaf of bread
A miniature loaf of bread? Isn’t that a roll? Was someone out here handing out rolls for Halloween? What a weirdo.
