Check out this list of the worst Easter candy of 2024. Easter is coming up fast, and I'm sure you've seen a ton of candy every time you go to the store. But what should you get, and what should you avoid? You don't want to put the wrong candy in those Easter baskets, do you? No, I didn't think so. This list should hopefully help you out this year. Now here's the thing, will we agree on the candy that landed on this list? We'll see.

Where Did The List Come From?

I found this list of the worst Easter candy of 2024 at CandyStore.com, so if you don't agree with this list, take it up with them. There are some Easter candy staples on this list, and there are some that I think maybe a little newer to the game. It's a pretty good mix though I think. They didn't go too heavy on one type of candy or the other.

Now I think I'm the right person to comment on this list. Why? Well we've made it known that I am a candy connoisseur. Probably more so than any other 38-year-old man you'll ever meet. I'm fully aware that might not be something to brag about, but that's neither here nor there. Every week when I go to the grocery store, I see what's shaking in the candy aisle. And let me tell you, the Easter candy is out of control!

There are so many different brands and flavors of chocolate eggs and jelly beans, I mean it's hard for a young man to keep track! However, I can tell you what my go-to Easter candy is for this year, the Sour Patch Kids jelly beans. They are fantastic. Those have quickly become my new go-to, well at least for 2024.

I won't make you wait any longer, here is the list of the worst Easter candy of 2024.

Cadbury Creme Egg

This topped the list from CandyStore.com, but I kinda like the Cadbury Creme Egg. The only problem is they get a little messy. You can never keep the creme inside the egg. If you eat a Cadbury egg, you'd better have a napkin around! Maybe that's why it landed on the list.

Bunny Corn

This is basically like the candy corn you find at Halloween, but Easter themed. Instead of being orange, yellow, and white, it's pastel pink, green, and blue. I'll be honest, I've never had it so I can't tell you whether or not it tastes just like the candy corn at Halloween or if it has a different flavor.

Peeps

These are an Easter staple. Peeps have been around for years, and usually at least one pack finds its way into your Easter basket. I don't hate Peeps. Usually, I can down about three Peeps and then I'm good for the year. Maybe thats the reason they made the list. No one can finish a pack of them.

Marshmallow Eggs

This is another one that I don't hate, however, I also don't seek them out either. I can't tell you the last time I had a marshmallow egg. I'm not going to lie though, if you handed me one right now, I'd definitely eat it.

Solid Chocolate Bunny

This is another Easter staple. Chocolate bunnies have been in Easter baskets since Easter baskets have been a thing. I love a chocolate bunny, but I think it does depend on the brand of chocolate, certain ones are better than others. Also maybe this is just me, but I kinda prefer the chocolate bunnies that are hollow.

Chocolate Crosses

Yeah I totally see why this one made the list. Honestly, I'm surprised that it isn't higher. Who wants to eat a chocolate cross on Easter? That just feels wrong! Every time I see these at the store, I'm like "why?!, why are these a thing?"

Bubble Gum Eggs

Now I don't think I've had these since the 90s but I remember them well. The ones I remember came in a little carton, and they were pretty good, but you had to just chew them. There was really no payoff, just chew and chew and chew. I'll agree with these being on the worst Easter candy list.

Sour Patch White Chocolate Bunny

This one is new to me. I didn't know that Sour Patch Kids were getting in the chocolate bunny game! Does is taste like white chocolate? Is it sour? I've got questions! Like I said before, the Sour Patch Kids jelly beans are my jam, but I don't know about this. I think Sour Patch Kids need to stay in their lane.

Oreo Egg

I actually just saw these at the store the other day. I was intrigued, and I wanted to get one to try it, but I didn't. Now I see they made the worst Easter candy list. I'm wondering if I should still try one or pass. Maybe I should try one and see if they really belong on the list or not.

Generic Jelly Beans

Like I said, there are so many different brands and varieties of jelly beans out there right now. It's hard to know which ones are good, and which ones aren't. However, I can say this, with all of the varieties of jelly beans out there, it's hard to go back to the generic ones. Especially because the bags still have the black jelly beans in them and I think we can all agree those are horrible! Yeah, I can see why generic jelly beans made the list.
