Is Baskin Robbin’s ‘Spicy & Spooky’ ice cream worth a try?
Baskin Robbins dropped a new ice cream flavor for spooky season called ‘Spicy and Spooky’. My daughter and I had to try it and one of us liked it and one of us didn’t.
Baskin-Robbins.com describes the ice cream as ‘White Chocolate Ghost Pepper flavored Ice Cream & black Dark Chocolate Ice Cream speckled with spicy Blood Orange Flakes. ’
And here’s what it looks like when you get it
The first bite I took was bursting with delicious blood orange flavor. So good! And then that ghost pepper sting came through on the back end. So I dipped my spoon in for another bite to try and calm that burn that the ghost pepper flavor gives you, and that’s when I took a bite of the delicious dark chocolate ice cream. I love how that dark color of the chocolate ice cream gives off the ‘spooky vibes’ of this treat.
Lexie said this wasn’t spicy at all to her. She loves all spicy foods and I’m more of a ‘mild’ type of girl. I definitely brought a water with me to help quench the heat from that ghost pepper ice cream. As intense as it was, I really enjoyed how all of the flavors come together for a unique ice cream flavor experience. I would definitely order it again before it leaves the menu this season. I give it a 9/10 and Lexie gave it a 7/10 because she said it wasn’t spicy enough.
