Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been empty nesters for a few years now, with all three of their adult daughters living in their own places. Two of the girls (Gracie and Audrey) live in apartments in New York City as they work to embark on musical and acting careers of their own.
I chatted often with Tim and Faith over the years, discussing the holidays. The couple told me that even though their girls are on their own, they still want Christmas at home in Tennessee to be like when they were little. Faith said, "They made their requests like, 'Are we gonna have this?' 'Are we gonna have that set up where it was last year? Are you gonna put out the village this year?'"
Tim adds, "Yeah, they're hinting that just because we're gone doesn't mean you're not gonna do the house like you do, right? They still want the house to look like it did when they lived there when they were kids. They want to be able to come home and still feel like it always has to them."
Faith concluded, "That's important, and I'll make extra sure that it happens."

McGraw and Hill have done Christmas songs over the years. In 2008, Faith released a Christmas album called Joy To The World. The album did not feature any songs with her husband. Hill is also well-known for her rendition of a Christmas song, "Where Are You Christmas?" that was recorded for the The Grinch movie, which came out in 2000.
Tim recorded a Christmas song in 2021 called "Christmas All Over The World." The lyrics to the song's chorus are, "And the bells, the bells/ The bells are ringing / The joy, the joy, the joy / They're bringing / For every boy and girl / It's Christmastime all over the world."
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary today (10/6). Tim posted to Instagram the very first picture the couple took together in 1995 when they first met.
He captioned the post, which also included a black and white, more current photo of the happy couple, "This is the very first picture ever taken of us, the very first time we ever met back in spring of 1995. This was backstage at the "New Faces" show at the Country Radio Seminar......I fell for you in an instant! Today is our 27th wedding anniversary, and I fall for you every day, every time you walk into the room, every time I see you in our three beautiful daughter's smiles. I just keep falling and always will. Happy anniversary, my love! @faithhill."
Many of McGraw's fans and followers wished the couple a "Happy anniversary." One fan commented, "Happy Anniversary to you and your beautiful wife. May God continue to shine on your union."
McGraw talked about his wife Faith Hill and how he would not be the country superstar he is today without her. Tim and Faith Hill married in October 1996 in a small ceremony at his aunt's Rayville, Louisiana, home. The couple share daughters Gracie, 26, Maggie, 25, and Audrey, 21.
In the new interview promoting his new album, Standing Room Only, McGraw said, "I guarantee you, had I not gotten married to Faith at 29 years old, I probably would've ran my career into the ground." He also noted that he probably "would've died already." Tim said that his career that he knew one thing for sure, and that is that his career "wouldn't have ever been where it's at now."
As we celebrate with the couple today (10/6) on their special day, we look at four music videos they did together over the years.

"I Need You"
Released in 2007, this song topped the country chart. In the music video, which premiered on CMT in June 2007, the couple sit in a room of an old house on chairs facing each other and singing into each other's eyes. The room is filled with lighted candles. The couple often sang the song in concert in chairs, looking at and singing to each other. It was a concert favorite, and photos of the couple on chairs looking at each other graced many a Tim and Faith concert t-shirt.
"Meanwhile, Back At Mamas"
Released in 2014, this song was Tim and Faith's first duet in seven years. It was featured on McGraw's album Sundown Heaven Town. The video was shot at Tim and Faith's farm in Nashville, and performance shots from their 2014 ACM performance were also used in the video. In one tender moment in the video, as Tim sings on the front porch of their home, Faith rests her chin on his shoulder.
"The Rest Of Our Life"
The song is the title track of McGraw and Hill's 2017 duets album The Rest of Our Life. Faith said the song reminded her of the day she and Tim McGraw decided to marry after meeting on McGraw's "Spontaneous Combustion" tour in 1996. The music video starts with the couple dressed for an award show in a limo, stopping and getting out during an argument. The fight continues as they drive off and get back out in the rain, and Faith leaves. They reunite later in a bar and make up.
"It's Your Love"
Their first and biggest duet was released in 1997 and topped the country chart; they were the only married couple to chart a number one song together on country radio until Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn topped the charts in 2022 with "Thank God." The music video for "It's Your Love" premiered on CMT on May 14, 1997, when CMT named it a "Hot Shot". When it was filmed, Hill was pregnant with the couple's oldest daughter, Gracie Katherine.
