Carly Pearce and Michael Buble recently joined forces on the new Christmas duet, "Maybe This Christmas." The two performed the song on Sunday (12/15), on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry, which was a dream come true for Buble, who made his Opry debut.

Michael told People of Carly, "I love country music, and I love the reverence she has for the heroes that she's had. And at the same time, she's a contemporary modern artist who brings country forward."

Buble also noted that Pearce was the singer for the new song with him, and no one could have helped him nail it the way she did. He told the publication that she "has a penetrating, beautiful voice" and she's an incredible storyteller. He recalled when he turned to his wife in bed one night and said, "'There’s no other woman in the world of music that could have done this and sounded like this.'"

Michael said that Pearce brought him into a world he would never have been a part of, and "I couldn’t thank her enough." He added that there’s not a door closed backstage (at the Opry), sharing that they had an "impromptu jam session" with The Isaacs for an hour, playing Hank Williams and Patsy Cline songs.

Carly introduced Buble to the Opry stage along with Kelsea Ballerini, who will be a coach on The Voice in the upcoming season on NBC.

Pearce said that getting to walk Michael through the Artist Entrance and show him "all of my favorite parts of the Opry House was so special to me."

Carly spent this past summer on the road with Tim McGraw, opening for him on his "Standing Room Only Tour." She knows that Tim has built an amazing career spanning over three decades, so touring with him was a great learning experience and a tremendous opportunity.

Pearce told us in a recent interview, "I loved being out on the road with Tim McGraw. He is just an incredible performer, an incredible artist, entertainer, but more than anything, he’s just a wonderful person."

She added, "I think that I learned more about why his career has elevated over decades, just because of his work ethic and his kind heart.”
