Reba McEntire's NBC sitcom, Happy's Place, got renewed on the network for a second season and the country icon and her show co-stars are thrilled with the news.
Reba shared a video clip on Instagram of her telling the cast and crew while they held hands in the set's kitchen. When Reba revealed the show got picked up for a second season, some of the cast cried, and they all hugged one another, including Reba and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, who embraced. Reba said to the camera as she cried a bit, "Tears of joy. We got picked up for a second season right before we are going on to do the last show of this season. What a gift."
The country icon captioned the post, "Next round is on us. Season 2 of #HappysPlace is coming to NBC."
Late last year, McEntire teamed up with renowned songwriter Carole King to write the theme song for Happy’s Place.
The song, released by MCA Nashville, is available across all music platforms and debuted on the Happy’s Place series premiere, which was in October of 2024. Happy’s Place aires on NBC on Fridays at 8/7c and streams the next day on Peacock.
Reba said at the time, “I’m so happy for the opportunity to write the theme song for Happy’s Place with my good friend, Carole King. It just doesn’t get much better than that! I hope my fans will love this song as much as they did the theme song for the Reba show.”
Kelsea Ballerini found a sweet letter from Reba during the season premiere of The Voice earlier this month (2/3) on her chair. Reba coached on seasons 24, 25, and 26.
The letter read in part, "Dear Kelsea, I heard you would be the new coach this season and I'm just so excited for you. It's up to you to keep country alive on the show, and I know you'll do a terrific job. Now go out there and show those boys who's the boss."
In the letter, Reba also wrote that she left Ballerini a "little good luck charm in case you need it."
Kelsea turned to find Reba's crown from previous seasons — where she was dubbed "Queen Reba." She placed it on her head and said, "I feel so fancy."
