I was riding the backroads of Georgia and discovered this beautiful old church in Crawfordville, GA. It was constructed in 1886. I walked up the steps and the door was cracked open and I stepped inside and..wow! It was beautiful.

Even had money at the alter as people leave donations to help keep the church up.  It appears people in the community going thru hard times take some money and leave notes with their names and say they will repay it. Hey, they left their name and address, so hopefully they do come back....I want to think so.

There's an old graveyard, too.  I'm gonna go back with my big camera soon and take more pics.  These were taken with my iPhone 11.

Where should I go next?

People leave money in the offering plate for others who may need it. thank you notes are left, and most repay the money when they can.

I love the look of this church. As they say, they don't make 'em like this anymore.

The pews inside the church have held up well over the years.

This church caught my eye as I was riding some Georgia Back roads. I'm glad I found it!

The old piano sits in the corner of the church. I can only imagine how many hymns have been played on this.

The old chairs are tattered from years of use.

An old bible still sits on the pulpit.
