The North Augusta Waffle House-My Story
For many years, my Saturday morning routine would be to get up, head to the North Augusta Waffle House at exit 5, have breakfast and then hit estate sales. While doing this for many years got the opportunity to meet Janet and get to know here. I had the privilege of meeting Janet more than 15 years ago or more.
After years of going in and getting to know Janet, She would see me and always call me by name and let me break the line and put me at the same corner chair at the bar every week. Soon as I sat down, she would always bring me my Diet Coke in a to go cup. Then we talked about everything under the sun.

Janet loved Kicks 99 and was the first to get our Kicks 99 Waffle House Tour T-Shirts
Janet was never in a bad mood. If she was, you wouldn't know it. She loved her job and all of her people who came in. The only thing Janet and I disagreed on was college football. She was a South Carolina Gamecocks fan. with me being a Clemson fan, we'll, you know how that went every week.
For me personally this is breaks my heart so much. Saturday mornings will never be the same in North Augusta. A statement that many of the regulars at exit 5 will share. Till we meet again my friend, Rest in peace!

One of my favorite pictures ever. Janet was a very special lady to me and will be missed
