Augusta has found its way on the list of most stressed out cities in America. This really isn't a list I would think we would want to be on. How did we find ourselves on this list? There are a lot of determining factors, and we'll bring those down here.

According to WalletHub, Augusta ranks at number ten on the most stressed out cities list. We've slowly been climbing the list. Back in 2021, Cody wrote that we were 16 on the list. You can see that article from a couple of years ago by clicking here.

As I said before there are a bunch of factors that put us on this list. Among them are work stress, family stress, financial stress, and stress about your health and safety. The two things that we're most stressed about right now are violence and crime and inflation. 83% of people say those are the two biggest stressors right now.

Here are the rest of the most stressed out cities in America.

  1. Cleveland Ohio
  2. Detroit Michigan
  3. Baltimore Maryland
  4. Birmingham Alabama
  5. Philadelphia Pennsylvania
  6. Shreveport Louisiana
  7. Memphis Tennessee
  8. Fayetteville North Carolina
  9. St. Louis Missouri

By comparison, we're more stressed out than Atlanta, Chicago, New York, and Washington DC. That is absolutely crazy to think about. However, when you get down to it, yeah we're living in a very stressful time right now. Not only are we stressed, but we don't see a light at the end of the tunnel anytime soon, and I think that causes even more stress.

Augusta also found itself in the Top Five for the lowest job security in the country. We landed at number 4. I don't know what the answer is right now, but let's all try to de-stress as best we can. To check out the full article from WalletHub, just click here.
