There's a new Joe Diffie tribute album that came out a couple of weeks ago. It's a project that Hardy and a bunch of other artists have been working on for a while now. The album is called "Hixtape: Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE". There are 17 Joe Diffie songs on the album, each being sung by Joe and several of today's biggest country stars.

Paying Tribute To Joe Diffie

Joe Diffie was one of the biggest country artists of the 90s, he had so many huge hits. Unfortunately, Joe passed away about four years ago. However, his memory is still going strong on this Joe Diffie tribute album. The album features a who's who of country's biggest stars, and they have Joe's original vocals on all of the songs as well. So artists who never got to sing with Joe are getting to now in a way.

Some of the artists featured on the album are Morgan Wallen, Hardy, Lainey Wilson, Jon Pardi, Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Chris Young, Old Dominion and so many more. Some of the songs featured on the album include "Pickup Man", John Deere Green" "Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox", "Bigger Than The Beatles" and a bunch more.

I've been a fan of Hardy's "Hix Tape" projects for years, and when he announced that the third one would be all Joe Diffie songs, of course I was fired up. It mixed two of my favorite things, 90s country and Hardy's "Hix Tapes". Honestly, I love the entire album, but the song I'm featuring this week is one of my favorites. It's one of my favorite Joe Diffie songs, and Luke Bryan and Randy Houser do an awesome job on it.

One Of My Favorites From The Hix Tape Joe Diffie Tribute

Check out "Honky Tonk Attitude" featuring Joe along with Luke Bryan and Randy Houser.

Speaking of 90s country, here are some more of my favorite songs and videos from the 90s.

90s Country Music Videos – Dub’s Top Five

I'm a huge 90s country fan, and these are my favorite 90s Country Music Videos. Growing up here in the CSRA, I would listen to Kicks99 when I was riding in the car with my mom. I loved listening to all of the songs, and I loved watching all of the music videos. I would sit for hours watching CMT and GAC to see all of my favorite music videos. In the 90s music videos just hit you different.

Sure some of them were corny, but they were fun. We search them out on YouTube now for that blast of nostalgia. Many times I've fallen down a 90s Country rabbit hole. I'll watch one video and then another, and then another, next thing I know, it's 2 hours later.

If you need to add some songs to your 90s country playlist, check out this list.

This list is in no particular order, but these are my favorite 90s Country Music Videos.

Sammy Kershaw "Queen Of My Double Wide Trailer"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iICDCj-qOEU
I love this song, and I love the video even more! When you think of 90s country stereotype's, this video is full of them, and I love them all!

Tracy Byrd "Watermelon Crawl"

"Watermelon Crawl" is an essential 90s song. One thing I love about 90s country videos is that the video follows the song. Whatever is being talked about in the song, is being lived in the video! It's all a part of the story.

Reba McEntire "Fancy"

This is another example of an essential 90s country song. It's also another example of how the video follows the song. Finally it's an example of how great of an actress Reba is.

Alan Jackson "I Don't Even Know Your Name"

I said it before, 90s country music videos might have been corny at times, but they were fun! This is a prime example of that. It doesn't get anymore 90s than Jeff Foxworthy and Alan Jackson in the same video.

Brooks And Dunn "Hard Workin' Man"

Rodeo, Vegas, Those awesome 90s country shirts, this video has it all! This video just embodies the spirit of 90s country, and I think I speak for all of us when I say, we love it!
