Kane Brown is a country music superstar these days and is at the top of his game on a headlining stadium tour this summer.

Next month (8/16/24), when Kane's tour plays T-Mobile Pakl in Seattle, one of his opening acts will be his friend, Chris Young.

Close to ten years ago, Chris helped Brown, a newcomer at the time, find his way around Nashville.

When we talked to Young recently, we asked about opening for his buddy, and he shared his thoughts. He said, "I am very much looking forward to that show with KB. You know, he opened up for me on my tour, and the fact that I get a chance to not return the favor but have the other side of things and hang out with him, I just love."

Chris added with a grin, "No one could be happier about his success than me. So I was like, 'Yeah, I don't do many of those (opening slots) anymore, but yeah, I'll do that one.'"

Young's last opening slot was for Garth Brooks. He said, "That should tell you something right there that that's the last one that I did."

The country star's new album came out earlier this year, and he's already taken one of the songs ("Young Love & Saturday Night") to the top 10 of the country charts.

As fans get acquainted with the new music, Chris tells us there is a lot more where that came from. He said, "I've got enough songs to make three albums right now on my phone."

Brown signed his record label deal and started making a name for himself in Nashville, he was just 21 years old. Now, it's been a minute, and the country star has a bit more pep in his step and a lot more confidence.

Kane told us about this in a recent interview. "I think it's just being… I'm coming up on nine years, almost a decade. I think it's just not being 21 anymore, being 30."

That's not the only thing that has given Brown a more confident attitude. He said, "Also, just being a dad, you just care what your kids think. That's just how I am. My kids dance to a song, then I'm like, 'Okay, it's good.' And sometimes they won't dance, and I'm like, 'Throw it in the trash.' They are kinda like my A & R's (record label promotion) of the house."

In the same interview, Kane said that while it has not been confirmed, he will be touring Europe again next year, and in the near future, it is confirmed that he will be touring Australia.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
