A grocery store we need is one that would go over very well. Last week I made a trip over to Columbia for the day to just knock around. While my travels took me all over the city I passed a grocery store that I've heard a lot about but never stopped in. Trader Joe's was the grocery store. So I stopped and went in and took a look around. I said I was just going to look, but the one thing I noticed the most ended up being the thing I bought the most of... The snacks.
The Snacks Of Trader Joe's
There were so many different snacks to pick from. When I say snacks, I mean everything from peanut butter cups, cookies, pretzels, and the list goes on and on. You will see in just a few minutes some of the snacks I left with and to be honest, I feel the need to make a trip back this weekend to stock up on more. That is if we can be honest with each other.
Trader Joe's also features a large selection of gluten-free and organic items if you or someone you know needs those diet restrictions. Of all the things I saw, this was the one thing that made me the happiest. The grocery sack. Yes, it's a grocery sack. We used to as kids make our book covers out of these brown paper sacks. If you grew up in the South, you know, it's a sack.

The biggest thing that I loved the most was getting to walk out of the store with the old fashioned paper sack. Yes a sack, that's what we called the brown bags as a kid!
So What Else Does A Grocery Store We Need Like This Have?
They carry a great selection of fruit and dairy products, pre-made soups, and a floral section that will top some full-time florists. I did buy a frozen Trader Joe's pizza, but haven't had that yet but I'm ready. They have a large selection of beer and wine. IPA's, imports from Mexico, regular lagers, dark lagers, and a great selection of wines.
I also loved that throughout the store there were paintings on the walls to reflect the city. The painting of The State House may have been the coolest one. You knew by walking around this store, that you were in Columbia South Carolina. I'm not sure if that is a part of every Trader Joe's, but I really liked that feature and it stood out.
My Biggest Take Away From My First Visit To Trader Joe's
I really enjoyed my visit to Trader Joe's and I will be back. This is a grocery store we need. The one thing that I noticed throughout the store was the prices. While you see inflated prices everywhere you go these days, I noticed that the prices were very affordable. Like the bananas, which were just 23 cents a pound. Most of the snacks were under $5 each. A 20oz container of warm-and-eat chili, just $4.99.
Those were just a few of the low prices that I noticed. So I will go on the record and say that Trader Joe's, you are a grocery store we need. If ya'll need any help finding land or a location, call me, I know a few real estate agents and companies that can help make that happen.

Trader Joe's would go over well in the C-S-R-A. Aiken, Columbia County, both would be great homes!

This was the Trader Joe's version of peanut M&M's. They got a 10 out of 10 from me.

This was my second favorite snack. I've found these in stores around here, but they don't compare.

These crispy rice treats reminded me of the ones my family would make a Christmas. Another 10 out of 10.

This was the snack of all snacks. I could have sat and ate 20 boxes of these. If there was a bigger score of 10 out 10, these would get that score

Another 10 out of 10 review. This was good. I maybe making a trip back for the stock up.

I asked the cashier if this was true, or just a sign for fun. He said If there was anything I didn't like, Bring it back for a full refund, no questions asked.

While the selection of beer they had doesn't fit my taste in beer, they have a large selection. If IPA's are your thing, you are in luck.

Wine drinkers you will be in heaven. They used to be famous for the 2 Buck Chuck wine, The lady told me it hasn't been 2 bucks in years.

The South Carolina State House is painted on the wall of the store. I loved the local feel.

The minute I walked in I saw the Columbia South Carolina Sign. I felt right at home.

This is the pizza I bought, and I can't wait to report back and let ya know how good it was!

If gluten free is your diet, they have ya covered

Just like walking around Sam's or Costco, samples everywhere.

This picture doesn't do the floral shop any justice at all. The flowers were so beautful

Ready to eat soups and chowders. I will add that to my next trip. Look at that price tag!

Look at the prices on those fresh banana's. Look how fresh and ripe they are!
