TikTok Of The Day – June 23, 2023: Wrong Shoe Theory
Looks like I was trendy before it was a thing. Ha! Just kidding… sorta! But there’s a new trend on TikTok that’s being called the “Wrong Shoe Theory.” This is apparently where you choose the worst possible shoes to go with your outfit… intentionally.
It used to be that wearing black shoes with brown pants was a fashion no-no. But with this new trend… no one cares anymore it seems. This trend involves blatantly choosing shoes that don’t even remotely match your outfit. Think… a sundress with army boots, a casual outfit with heels, sneakers with a dress, etc.
One thing to note… men have been a little ahead of this trend for a while. At some point, sneakers with suits became a thing a while back. So this trend is primarily for women, I guess.
This influencer posted a video to explain the Wrong Shoe Theory and shows herself trying out different combinations.
I’m no fashion expert… so I’m sure there are times I’ve been guilty of wearing the wrong shoes with an outfit…

I spend a lot of time scrolling through TikTok and Instagram Reels. Probably more than most people should if we’re being honest. But there are so many reasons for that, and the main one is I love finding cool TikTok products for my home.
Since 2020, TikTok and later Reels, has become a hub for finding some incredibly amazing products. TikTok influences out there helping all of us find new gadgets that we need in order to function. Have you ever gotten stuck on Restock TikTok? That TikTok sub-group where it’s just folks making their house look aesthetically pleasing? There is something so calming about watching people put their products into new containers. And don’t get me started on the car TikToks. I have so many cool car accessories and gadgets from various TikToks.
Now, you may think some of this sounds a bit silly. But the truth is some of these items are brilliant! I sometimes sit there and go “I really wish I had come up with that.” However, my main challenge is there are always so many videos. And let’s face it we’re busy people. So you probably don’t have hours to scroll on TikTok to find all of these products. And that’s where I come in!
So, because I’ve spent hours searching and watching all of these fun products, I figured it was a good idea to have one space for all of them. I’m talking about everything from cleaning hacks, to restocking containers, to car gadgets and so much more. I’ve even included some of my favorite items that I just had to buy myself! So, without further ado, here are some of my favorite cool TikTok products you had no idea you were missing out on.
